Anodyne Cognitive Therapy
Anodyne: (noun) Something that soothes, calms, or comforts. (adjective) That which lessens pain.
What I do:
Anodyne Cognitive Therapy PLLC is a therapy practice that works to provide short term (5 to 10 sessions) therapy for people experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. Using the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model (CBT) as well as skills from the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model, I work to teach you skills to manage your symptoms. My goal is not just to help you cope with and reduce your current distress but teach you skills to help you reduce the likely-hood of future distress. Additional intermittent longer term support and skills training is also available.
